USFA start 2026 Champions League qualifiers with a win
USFA opened the 2026 UFOA-B women’s Champions League qualifiers with a 2-0 victory over Benin’s Dynamique FC.
USFA have made a winning start to the UFOA-B qualifying tournament for the 2026 African Women’s Champions League, giving the Burkina Faso club an early boost in Group A. The Union sportive des forces armées defeated Dynamique FC of Calavi, Benin, at the Stade du 4-Août in Ouagadougou.
The Burkinabè side secured a 2-0 victory after a first half in which neither team managed to score. USFA were more effective after the break and turned their greater attacking pressure into the goals needed to take all three points from their opening fixture. Dynamique FC were unable to find a response once the hosts moved in front.
The result gives USFA a clean-sheet win to begin their regional campaign and places the team in a positive position as the Group A programme continues. With no other table or form details available from the opening match, the main immediate gain is the result itself: three points, two goals scored and none conceded. That combination gives the Burkinabè representatives a useful platform for the next stage of the qualification race.
USFA will now seek to preserve that momentum through the rest of the tournament. The opening victory also offers encouragement after a subdued first period, with the team showing greater efficiency in the second half. Dynamique FC, meanwhile, begin their campaign without points and will need a stronger response in their remaining matches if they are to stay in contention for progress. For USFA, the immediate task is to convert this opening success into a sustained challenge for qualification from the UFOA-B zone.
