Mattéo Guendouzi makes decisive France impact against Israel

Mattéo Guendouzi strengthened his case for a bigger role with France by producing two goalscoring contributions against Israel. The Lazio midfielder came off the bench to score and provide an assist, giving him a decisive influence on the Nations League match despite entering late.

Guendouzi was introduced in the 76th minute, with France leading Israel in a game that ended 4-1. He then found the net and created another goal, directly shaping half of France’s four-goal output. The performance gave the midfielder an immediate impact during a short spell on the field.

The appearance came after Guendouzi was brought into the France squad to replace Antoine Griezmann for the international fixtures against Germany and Chile.
