RC Lens weighing a move for Nathan Zézé at Neom

RC Lens are weighing a move for Nathan Zézé as they continue their search for a left-footed central defender. The former Nantes defender has emerged as a possible solution after the club’s pursuit of Armando Obispo ended, although financial concerns are complicating the operation.

Zézé left Nantes for Neom and has established himself as a regular starter in Saudi Arabia. His performances have placed him among the league’s better-rated players, while he remains an important member of France’s Under-21 side. His ability to build from the back and his experience in Ligue 1 have made him an attractive option for Lens.

Neom are not opposed to a departure. The Saudi club must sell before adding players, leaving both a loan and a permanent transfer under consideration. Zézé’s contract runs until 2030, giving Neom a strong negotiating position and making an agreement more difficult for Lens.

Bologna and Eintracht Frankfurt have also explored the defender’s availability. Lens are therefore keeping other options open while assessing whether they can complete a deal for Zézé before the transfer window closes.
